The Catch 22

On pistol-training.com there is a drill called the Catch 22. It is designed to help with draw speed (one of my weaknesses) and trigger control. I have been wanting to try it for a long time, but for whatever reason never got around to it...until a couple weeks ago. (Also note the number of malfunctions with the G22, more on that later).

I obviously need lots of work.

  1. Remember, this is a drill that Dave Sevigny designed to push Dave Sevigny. Last I spoke to him about it -- which was admittedly more than a year ago -- he couldn't do it 100% of the time himself.

Also, that 1.57 SHO draw was jealousy-inspiring!

  2. Thanks. it was a fun drill, I will certainly be doing it again. Since draw speed is one of weak areas, I thought it would be a good way to work it.

For whatever reason, my SHO draws are just as good or better than my two handed draws. Must be some inefficiency somewhere in my two handed process.
