What can I say...

I was made an offer I could not refuse...and the 96D went away.

Yes, I know I have a problem.

  1. Sell one to get one, been there many times. I guess you'll be going back to the G22 for the time being? Look for a good S&W revolver when you can, I don't think you'll be sorry.

  2. Well, technically traded for the shotty plus some cash and spare parts. Back to the G22 for a while. The gunshop where I was going to get my revolver from sold all their LE trade in stock of S&W's. Guess I have to wait for the next batch.

  3. I enjoyed watching your progress on the Beretta.
I wonder if it would have been easier with a 92FS or 92G. I think either one would have been easier than your 'all double action', and the a 9mm would definitely have less kick. I was pretty impressed with how well you did with the 96D.

    Have fun with the shotgun.

  4. Thanks.

I definitely think a 9mm would be easier, and a DA/SA pistol would be easier, but I didn't trade the 96D because of any of those things. I think it really helped me improve in a couple key areas, specifically my grip. I made some pretty significant changes to how I grip a handgun because of the Beretta.

I am watching the local market for an Elite or at least a G model 90-series Beretta. So far no luck, but if one pops up I plan on trying to grab it.
